Chinese Evergreen / Aglaonema ‘Jungle Red’

OVERVIEW

Out of all the plants, the charming Aglaonema crete probably has the most striking single colour of all. The unbelievably vibrant magenta surrounding each leaf immediately catches the eye. It is also down the central midrib of each leaf and is further intensified by the dark green body of the leaf. A real head turner!

LIGHT
Somewhere darker is best for the health of the plant, but not so dark that the riotous pink starts to fade with time.

TEMPERATURE

Keep it warm! The single biggest reason these stunning plants die is due to cold.

WATER

Keep it well watered, except in deep winter when it can cold and wet together can be deadly. Humidity during hot days is absolutely vital.

FOOD

Keep it well fed in summer. Once each second watering will make those incredible pinks really explode.

TIPS

This plant needs a lot of humidity to survive. Consider placing it in a pebble tray, or amongst a lot of other plants to avoid the leaves become faded, crinkled or generally wilted.
